About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner for a 24-week locum tenens assignment in Texas, starting Sep 26, 2025. This telehealth opportunity requires weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday, 2 : 00pm–5 : 00pm CST), with additional hours available on Wednesdays and Fridays. The ideal candidate holds 20+ state licenses / DEAs and has telehealth experience evaluating patients for medication needs in cases such as cold, cough, flu, UTI, strep, and select sexual health concerns.

Job Details

  • LOA : 24 weeks
  • Provider Type Needed : Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Schedule : Saturday and Sunday, 2 : 00pm–5 : 00pm CST (at least every other weekend); additional hours available Wednesdays and Fridays, 3 : 30pm–6 : 00pm CST

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Review patient files and documentation via telehealth
  • Assess ongoing medication needs for each patient
  • Consult on cases including cold, cough, flu, UTI, strep, and select sexual health issues (e.g., ED, STIs)
  • Determine if continued medication is medically necessary
  • Document clinical decisions and recommendations accurately
  • Additional Information

  • Telehealth experience required
  • Must hold 20+ active state licenses / DEAs
  • Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP) required
