Metro Services is seeking to immediately fill a Safety Manager position for a Manufacturing company in Kokomo, IN. This is a Temp / Contract job. Apply now!

Duties for this position include :

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements
• Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
• Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
• Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
• Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
• Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
• Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
• Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
• Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics
• Foster a culture of safety by promoting awareness and encouraging employee participation in safety initiatives

Compensation (USD) :

$20.00 - $25.00 / Hr. (Depending on experience and OSHA 511 and 501 Safety Courses Completed)

Schedule : 1st Shift

8 : 00 a.m. – 4 : 30 p.m.

Monday – Friday
