Senior Accountant

LHH is seeking a motivated Senior Accountant on a contract basis for a real estate organization located in Richmond, VA. This opportunity is perfect for experienced accounting professionals who thrive in collaborative settings and are looking to contribute immediately while opening the door for a potential long-term role.

About the Position

Take ownership of accounting operations and address complex challenges independently.

Develop, review, and interpret financial statements and cash flow reports.

Maximize efficiency by utilizing advanced Excel features.

Identify opportunities to document and upgrade accounting processes.

Work alongside existing team members and prepare for possible advancement to a leadership position.

What We're Looking For

Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.

Strong background in compiling and analyzing financial documents.

Expertise in Microsoft Excel, ideally with macros and advanced functions.

Familiarity with Yardi Voyager or similar platforms is an advantage.

Strong attention to detail and fast learning ability.

Workplace Details

This is an onsite role with some hybrid flexibility for personal appointments and emergencies.

The work environment is laid-back, supporting a casual dress code (jeans permitted) and a spirit of teamwork.

Compensation

Salary ranges from $75,000 to $90,000 per year.

Contract arrangement with the option to become permanent, depending on company needs.
