JOB TITLE : WW Oncology Medical Communications Manager
Location : Madison, NJ (50% onsite at Giralda Farms)
Duration : 8 months initial (potential extension / potential right to hire)
Hours : Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
Position Summary
The Global Medical Oncology Medical Communications Team has established leadership and expertise in the review of medical communications. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to serve as a strategic partner who is solutions oriented and focused on ensuring medical accuracy and scientific validity of promotional and medical communications with robust scientific evidence and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains therapeutic area and product knowledge through ongoing assessment of relevant published literature, treatment guidelines, internal resources, and data. Contributes strong medical advice for interdisciplinary meetings and related initiatives including promotional review, disease / brand and launch planning, labeling changes, business reviews, etc.
- Critically review and provide solutions to complex promotional strategies and tactics to ensure balance of the messages, medical accuracy, and appropriateness of the content of the materials / activities in accordance with relevant guidance
- Proactively align and build strong relationships with commercial and other advisors / stakeholders on issues or concerns
- Determine acceptability of data / references used to support claims and provide strong guidance as well as effective negotiation leading to resolution for pieces
- Ability to demonstrate leadership within the medical review team to help drive best practices aligned with strategic imperatives. Participates in initiatives aimed at process improvements related to core medical activities
- Ensures awareness of current trends within the industry and promotes the sharing of best practices across the medical teams
- Completes all assigned SOPs and training within designated timeframe and adheres to job-specific SOPs and work instructions
Qualifications & Experience
PharmD, MD, PhD preferred with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in clinical practice or the pharmaceutical industryAbility to manage various projects, solve problems, deliver on commitments, and work with multidisciplinary teamsStrong scientific / medical written and verbal communication skills requiredExperience in delivering a customer-focused serviceMust be a strong team player and be willing to work in an environment where individual initiative and accountability to the team are requiredDemonstrates flexibility and a positive attitudePrior experience in therapeutic area preferredIf hired, you will enjoy the following Eclaro Benefits :
