Motor Vehicle Mechanic

Duties / Responsibilities :

• This position is responsible for all repairs, preventative maintenance to include initial and final inspections Heavy Tactical Equipment
• Performs routine and specialized maintenance / repair support of commercial category passenger vehicles.
• Makes repairs on commercial vehicles, commercial types of equipment, and tactical military ground equipment.
• The Heavy Tactical Vehicle Mechanic diagnoses malfunctions and repairs Heavy Tactical Vehicle, advises and trains lower grade workers on diagnosis and repair of less complex repair / maintenance problems,
• This mechanic prepares for storage and mobility deployment; and operates, cleans, inspects, and services towing vehicles. In addition to maintaining vehicle records, this mechanic maintains and updates paper and electronic equipment records, provides dispatch service for Heavy Tactical Equipment
• Conduct thorough inspections of wheeled vehicles, including engines, transmissions, power train components, hydraulic systems, and fuel system components.
• Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs to keep vehicles in optimal condition.
• Inspect, adjust, and test parts and systems to ensure functionality.
• Supervise and professionally develop subordinates.
• Handle maintenance-related administrative tasks, including record-keeping and reporting.
• Plan work area layout for efficiency and safety.

Minimum Qualification :

Must have the ability to climb up the back of Heavy Tactical Equipment

Extremely knowledgeable in U.S. Army maintenance procedures on Heavy Tactical Equipment

The ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening is required.

Ability to receive a favorable Tier-1 Investigation result and obtain, and maintain a CAC is required.

Must have an active and valid Driver's License.

Education and Experience :

Must have a minimum of a high School Diploma / GED

4+ years' Experience maintaining Heavy Tactical Equipment
