Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Washington State Licensed Journeyman Plumber (PL01 or PL02) to join our Re-Pipe Department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with residential and light commercial re-pipe projects, including full-home copper, PEX, and galvanized system replacements. This position requires precision, efficiency, and professionalism in both occupied and unoccupied structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full-home and partial re-piping using PEX, copper, and other approved materials per Washington State plumbing code.
- Accurately assess plumbing systems to identify corrosion, leaks, and outdated piping.
- Execute work in occupied homes with minimal disruption and strong respect for customer property.
- Cut, assemble, and install pipes and fittings according to project specifications and safety requirements.
- Work collaboratively with other plumbing technicians, apprentices, and project leads to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and customers to provide updates and clarify scope of work.
- Ensure compliance with all Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) plumbing regulations and company safety standards.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces, vehicles, and tools.
- Mentor apprentices and uphold Fischer's commitment to high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Active Washington State PL01 or PL02 Journeyman License (required).Valid Washington State Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.Minimum 3 years of residential re-pipe experience preferred.Strong knowledge of Washington plumbing code, PEX and copper systems, and water service lines.Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Excellent problem-solving, time-management, and communication skills.Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the role (lifting, climbing, confined spaces, etc.).Compensation & Benefits
