Academic Neuroradiologist

The Neuroradiology Section in the Department of Radiology at the University of Louisville has an opening for a full-time Academic Neuroradiologist open rank. Faculty rank is contingent upon qualifications and experience. A leadership position in the department is also available for suitable candidates (Section Chief and / or Vice Chair).

We are adding a new faculty member to our core group of four fellowship-trained neuroradiologists. We currently cover three teaching hospitals. A separate Emergency Radiology group covers the ED.

Job Responsibilities :

Clinical Duties and Training of Diagnostic Radiology Residents :

• Interpretation of structural studies : MRI, CT scans, myelograms and plain films of the brain.
• Extracranial head / neck, MRI of the brachial plexus, MRI lumbar plexus. Optional : in-utero MRI of the brain and spine (few) and post-partum MRI of infants (few).
• Interpretation of MR and CT cerebral and Neck angiograms.
• Interpretation of functional imaging studies : BOLD fMRI, DTI with tractography, CT / MR perfusion (including ASL) and CSF flow studies. Optional : DCE of CNS, ENT.

Research : While optional, if interested, the desired candidate will have a strong research record of publications or other evidence of scholarly activity.

Required Qualifications : Medical Degree or equivalent, eligibility for Kentucky Medical License, ABR Certified / eligible, CAQ in Neuroradiology or eligible.

Salary and Benefits : Salary is commensurate with skills and experience. The University of Louisville offers an excellent benefits package. Base compensation plus bonus above 9,500 RVU's.
