What You Will Do :
The Controls Manager role is responsible for leading a team of Controls, Hardware and Automations Engineers. The team will be responsible for automation project selection and implementation, Mechanical design (FEA), Safety design, Equipment specifications, Failure Mode Effects Analysis, Electrical Design, Sensor Specification, PLC code standardization, HMI design for usability, and Continuous improvement.
- Manage projects from conception to completion, developing automation strategies, and overseeing system design, implementation, and transition to operations.
- Develop standard practices, with involvement in continuous improvement of the control's specification and in alignment with all company and project automation goals.
- Focus on execution, implementation and validation of operational technology for controls hardware and software.
- Responsible for technical leadership, project management, team development, budget management, and ensuring that automated systems meet business goals and comply with industry standards
Qualifications You Must Have :
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 8 years experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, continuous improvement / process improvement, project management or related industrial environment or a Master's degree and minimum 5 years' experience in in an engineering, manufacturing operations, continuous improvement / process improvement, project management or related industrial environmentPrior experience in a supervisory / team lead capacityDemonstrated experience influencing parties within and outside of department at an operational level regarding policies, practices and procedures.Proficiency with Microsoft Office productsU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program / contractQualifications We Prefer :
Degree in a STEM fieldDemonstrated ability to fostering a positive work environment and develop a technical teamDemonstrated strong communication, collaboration and team-building skills
