Overview

Position Summary : The Safety Professional is responsible for overseeing Construction Project Safety, Health (S&H), and Risk Management. This includes managing multiple safety programs, developing and implementing site-specific safety plans, and collaborating with Project Management on Operational Risk Management (ORM). The role requires providing practical solutions to complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with General Contractor (GC) and / or owner regarding site conditions and Non-Compliance Notices (NCN)
  • Participate in meetings with clients, project teams, and contractors to advise on mitigation plans, S&H training, and technical reports
  • Develop and implement Site Specific Accident Prevention Programs (APP) and training plans to meet safety standards
  • Manage site safety budgets, permits, and ensure compliance with contracts and regulations
  • Lead ORM team in developing safety plans based on project specifications, drawings, and regulations; conduct incident investigations
  • Maintain knowledge of safety standards, OSHA, DOT, insurance audits, workers compensation, and emergency plans
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint
  • Qualifications

    Position / Candidate Requirements :

  • 6+ years with a high school diploma
  • 4+ years with an Associate's Degree
  • 0+ years with a Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience conducting S&H training, compliance with OSHA, DOT, EM-385, ANSI-Z10, OHSAS 18001, ISO 31000; safety management systems; electrical / construction / industrial / federal experience; willingness to pursue certifications like ASP, CSP, CHST; safety degree from an ABET-accredited program.
