Overview

Talascend is currenting seeking an Attorney -Content Services Counsel, TV Plus for a contract opportunity in New York, NY

Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance and meaningfully contribute to key business decisions across all aspects of the TV Plus organization. Drafting and negotiating contracts for the licensing and distribution of content and technical operation of the platform; helping build effective, business-oriented legal processes that are designed to support scalable growth; supporting a wide variety of global product development / launches; and coordinating with local and global cross-functional stakeholders across HQ and regional affiliates on policy and standard frameworks.
• Independently draft, review, negotiate and interpret a range of agreements and other legal documents, with particular focus on licensing of channels and content for distribution via free ad-supported streaming television (FAST).
• Provide front-line counsel to executives, senior leadership, and the broader organization on various legal and business issues related to TV Plus.
• Work collaboratively across the global TV Plus organization to proactively provide legal guidance and manage legal risks while advancing business goals.
• Ensure the organization’s legal policy and frameworks are in compliance with federal and state law, as well as being appropriate for the execution of the business.
• Develop and implement improvements to forms and processes.
• Manage outside counsel relationships, as needed.
