Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, ARRT-CT, BLS certification, and an active MI license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital-based CT department with potential for shifts in a mobile unit or at a sister facility
  • Responsible for performing CT scans and may conduct general diagnostic radiology exams
  • Patient population may include adults and potentially diverse medical conditions
  • 3 x 12 hour night shifts from 7 : 00pm to 7 : 30am, including every other weekend
  • No blocked scheduling is permitted
  • Use of PACS and Radiology Information System (RIS) for study completion and image delivery
  • Duties include explaining procedures, preparing patients, administering IV contrast with power injectors, and providing immediate patient care in case of reactions
  • Responsible for preparing and maintaining procedure rooms and sterilizing equipment and supplies as needed
  • Must demonstrate excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication according to facility standards
  • Must comply with radiation safety protocols and employ ALARA principles
  • Will assist radiologist with complex diagnostic and sterile procedures such as biopsies
  • Required to document completely in medical records and RIS for billing and clinical purposes
  • Online training modules must be completed and passed before starting clinical work
  • Candidates may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
  • Must report to lab for drug screening within 24 hours of commit; allow at least 2 weeks for background and drug screening clearance
  • RTO must be submitted up front; additional requests after hiring must be discussed with management
  • Scrub or dress code requirements were not specified

  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a CT Technologist required
  • Active MI license required for consideration
  • ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology and CT required
  • Current BLS certification from AHA required
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to lift or move equipment and / or patients in excess of 10 lbs
  • COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory
  • Completion of online modules onsite and passing score prior to start is required
