American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, ARRT-CT, BLS certification, and an active MI license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital-based CT department with potential for shifts in a mobile unit or at a sister facilityResponsible for performing CT scans and may conduct general diagnostic radiology examsPatient population may include adults and potentially diverse medical conditions3 x 12 hour night shifts from 7 : 00pm to 7 : 30am, including every other weekendNo blocked scheduling is permittedUse of PACS and Radiology Information System (RIS) for study completion and image deliveryDuties include explaining procedures, preparing patients, administering IV contrast with power injectors, and providing immediate patient care in case of reactionsResponsible for preparing and maintaining procedure rooms and sterilizing equipment and supplies as neededMust demonstrate excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication according to facility standardsMust comply with radiation safety protocols and employ ALARA principlesWill assist radiologist with complex diagnostic and sterile procedures such as biopsiesRequired to document completely in medical records and RIS for billing and clinical purposesOnline training modules must be completed and passed before starting clinical workCandidates may be required to float to a nearby sister hospitalMust report to lab for drug screening within 24 hours of commit; allow at least 2 weeks for background and drug screening clearanceRTO must be submitted up front; additional requests after hiring must be discussed with managementScrub or dress code requirements were not specifiedLicense required if applicable\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a CT Technologist requiredActive MI license required for considerationARRT certification in Radiologic Technology and CT requiredCurrent BLS certification from AHA requiredHigh School Diploma or GED requiredMust be able to lift or move equipment and / or patients in excess of 10 lbsCOVID-19 vaccination is mandatoryCompletion of online modules onsite and passing score prior to start is required\n Benefits\n
