Senior Tax Manager (Remote)

A highly successful accounting firm is seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Senior Tax Manager to join our growing team. This fully remote role is ideal for a tax professional with deep expertise in S Corporation and Partnership taxation , and a strong background working across a diverse set of industries including retail, manufacturing, distribution, professional services, and technology .

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of progressive tax experience , a current CPA license , and the ability to manage complex tax engagements with a strategic mindset and exceptional attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage tax compliance and advisory services for S Corporations and Partnerships across multiple industries
  • Review and sign off on complex federal and multi-state tax returns, including Forms 1065 and 1120-S
  • Provide strategic tax planning and structuring advice, including entity selection, mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior tax staff and managers, fostering a high-performance team environment
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing clear communication, technical insight, and exceptional service
  • Collaborate with partners and firm leadership to identify growth opportunities and contribute to business development initiatives

Qualifications :

  • Active CPA license (required)
  • 10+ years of experience in public accounting or a tax advisory role, with a focus on S Corporations and Partnerships
  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Extensive experience in tax planning and compliance across a variety of industries : retail, manufacturing, distribution, professional services, and technology
  • Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, GoSystem, UltraTax) and Microsoft Office Suite
