Description :

Float Pool RNs are needed to float between MedSurg / Tele and Stepdown units.

The MedSurg units have a combined total of 57 beds, all of which are private.

The required certification is BLS, and ACLS is preferred.

Ratios in MedSurg are 1 : 6-7, while in Stepdown they are 1 : 4-5.

Charge nurses and house supervisors oversee the unit, with limited patient assignments.

CNA support is available during the day shifts only.

Weekend availability is required every other week for Saturday and Sunday shifts.

The holiday requirement will follow the permanent staff holiday rotation.

Scrubs color required is navy blue, including jackets.

Tele patients are monitored remotely, and RNs must be able to read and interpret strips.

Familiarity with administering and titrating drips such as Cardizem, Nitro, and Heparin is essential.

Bipap, Cpap, and High Flow vents are managed with respiratory therapy support.

Common patient diagnoses include post-surgical cases, pneumonia, and cardiac issues.

This position may involve floating to various units based on staffing needs.

The utilization of an electronic medical record system is required.

Nurses are expected to have the ability to handle both 'clean' and 'dirty' patients.
