Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Psychiatric Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 17 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Job Title : RN - Psych / Detox Location : Lewiston, ME 04240 Shift : Days 7a-7p (3 x 12) Travel Pay Rate : $2400 weekly ($32.07 / hr on w2 $1246 / week stipend) Local Pay Rate : $59 per hour on W2 Start Date : 11 / 17 / 2025 Job Type : 13-week Contract Position Summary : Minimum 3 years of experience is required Behavioral Health Experience Required Travelers must be willing to float to Inpatient Adult Behavioral Heatlh and Detox units BLS certification required CPI Required Staff must be trained and able to demonstrate competency in the application of restraints, implementation of seclusion, monitoring, assessment, and providing care for a patient in restraint or seclusion to ensure competency has been validated by the agency employing the staff member. Key Responsibilities : Assess and monitor patients' vital signs and overall health status during the detoxification process. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to established protocols. Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to create personalized care plans. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding the detoxification process and recovery options. Document patient progress accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage withdrawal symptoms effectively using appropriate interventions and medications. Participate in case management activities, including discharge planning and follow-up care coordination. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients through adherence to infection control practices. Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in detoxification nursing.
