Position Description

Employees in this classification are responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care activities in a specialty or subspecialty outpatient clinic as assigned from the resource nurse pool. This job to be used in Resource Nurse pool only. Incumbents perform a variety of general and specialized nursing duties to provide the patient with complete evaluations. Work is performed under the direction of a licensed (RN / LVN) nurse or physician as part of a total health care team in providing complete evaluations to patients.

• Executes nursing process efficiently for patients within clinic of assignment
• Educate patients, families and caretakers as indicated / required
• Accurate and timely documentation in EHR
• Obtain, assess and record vital signs
• Collaborate with healthcare team for the betterment of patients

Required Qualifications

Completion of a recognized program of nursing. One to two years of experience are preferred in a hospital, clinic or community based setting. Certification in the state of Texas as a Licensed Vocational or Registered Nurse.
