Cedar Valley Counseling Services is seeking professional, motivated counselors to join our private practice. We provide the structure and support you need to focus on your clients—without the demands of running a business.

Our focus is meeting the unique mental health needs of the Cedar Valley through a local, family-run private practice setting. We provide the support and flexibility for each provider to meet the specific needs of their clientele. We value professional collaboration to provide the best support and care for our clients.

Candidates for the position must hold an Iowa license in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.

Good candidates for our practice can independently manage primary counseling responsibilities (including completing sessions, timely and professional documentation, and communication with clients and other professionals). Must be proactive in communication about problems or concerns and have a willingness to engage all other team members in a supportive way.

Clinical focus on couples and family counseling, children and adolescence, and work-related issues is beneficial. Common support needed in this setting include : anxiety, depression, couples, work stress, trauma, career development, parenting strategies, stressors in the college population, grief, and phase of life transitions.

Responsibilities :

• Provide individual, couples, or family counseling using evidence-based practices
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation with the ability to comply with state and federal standards of practice
• Collaborate with a team of professionals to provide high-quality care
