Overview
The Installation Manager plays a key role in supporting both field and office operations within our HVAC department, with a primary focus on equipment installation. This position is responsible for reviewing upcoming projects, defining the full scope of work, identifying necessary material, and delivering clear instructions to ensure each installation meets local Mechanical Code requirements and PWC standards. A strong sense of urgency and attention to detail are essential, as assignments must be completed efficiently, accurately, and with minimal supervision. Success in this role also depends on effective communication with Client Services, Program Support, Program Managers, Technicians, and Installers.
Responsibilities
- Review paperwork and photos in the work order packet to ensure a thorough understanding of job requirements.
- Communicate with Program Managers as needed to gather all necessary information to fulfill contract terms and meet client expectations.
- Directly manage Technicians and Installers, providing coaching and performance management to elevate their success.
- Identify and resolve any deficiencies, inaccuracies, or issues before the job is processed.
- Immediately notify the Program Manager and Project Managers of any scope-related issues (e.g., incorrect equipment sizing, inadequate space, wrong equipment type, etc.).
- Provide clear, detailed instructions within the Work Order to ensure installers have everything needed to complete the job successfully.
- Generate a complete inventory of required materials for the installation.
- Ability to complete jobs within estimated budget.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Education : High School Diploma or equivalentExperience And / or Training
Minimum 5 years HVAC industry experience, as determined by managementProficient with Microsoft Office SuitePossess a strong knowledge of HVAC terms, operation, application and installationDetailed OrientedExperienced in mentoring, coaching, and training technicians and installersOutstanding problem-solving skillsExcellent time management skills and ability to prioritize the workSkilled in optimizing workflows, reducing inefficiencies, and ensuring complianceCapable of passing a background and drug screeningMust have basic math skillsPreferred Qualifications
Ohio Master HVAC license, KY Master HVAC licensePhysical And Mental Demands
Problem solving and crisis management for complex technical and operational issues.Excellent interpersonal skills to handle client relations, including addressing complaints and ensuring client satisfaction. Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical staff.The job requires frequent travel in a vehicle to meet with clients and visit job sites.Occasionally lifting or moving of equipment, tools, and supplies, which can weigh up to 50 pounds.Office and administrative work that may require sitting for long periods.Working Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. Must be able to routinely use standard office equipment, such as computers, or laptops, multi-line phone, and photocopiers / scanners.
