Responsibilities
Provide Tier 2 applications support by providing services to ensure effective provisioning, installation / configuration, operation, and maintenance of applications software and related infrastructureParticipate in technical applications and knowledge base developmentEnsure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational requirements, including local / enterprise configuration control and information security planning and operational requirementsAssist project teams with technical issues in execution, testing, roll-out and maintenance of applicationsParticipate in projects to ensure smooth transition of initiatives from development and modernization / upgrade efforts to production, by performing operations support activities as requiredConfigure and support varied printer and copier devicesProvide ongoing support for production usersPerform system management and maintenance of a Microsoft multi-server network environment including desktop provisions for over 800 Windows workstations within an Active Directory structureAdminister network access, database management and maintenance, and work with management to support contractual needs and requirementsProvide administration, deployment, and maintenance of production workstations, servers, and peripheralsReview and maintain site compliance with Department of State Information Assurance toolsDevelop and maintain backup schedulesManage group policiesCreation and compliance of user accounts and access through Active Directory and other DOS systemsInvestigate and produce purchase recommendations based on customer or production user needsMaintain inventory of consumables and hardwareMicrosoft Certificated Professional (MCP) certification preferredAdminister Oracle Linux 8PowerShell scriptingQualifications
Bachelors degree in a relevant fieldStrong communication skills are a necessity.Ability to coordinate with other team members on-site, as well as with supporting teams at other sites.The ability to not only learn and adapt as necessary but also be willing to share your knowledge with others.You must also successfully complete a criminal and credit background investigation as well as a comprehensive investigation as part of the security clearance process before you can begin work.
