Compensation :

  • $40 / hr Job Title : Measurement Technician II Location : Carlsbad, NM Schedule : Monday–Friday | 40 hours / week with overtime as required   Position Overview We are seeking a Measurement Technician II to support oil & gas operations in Carlsbad, NM.
  • This role will focus on installing, calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting measurement equipment to ensure accurate data collection and regulatory compliance.
  • The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in both team and independent field settings.

Key Responsibilities Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair measurement equipment including :

  • ABB Totalflow, Fisher ROC EFMs, Emerson 4088B, Coriolis, Ultrasonic, and Turbine Meters Perform routine field work such as : Gas meter calibrations Orifice plate inspections LACT proving and third-party witnessing Support administrative functions such as maintaining records, coordinating calibrations, and preparing reports Obtain and transport samples for gas quality testing and analysis Ensure compliance with company safety protocols and regulatory requirements (including BLM regulations) Participate in continuous improvement of measurement processes and support operations teams Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred Experience with oil & gas measurement equipment strongly preferred Knowledge of BLM regulations and general production equipment / process flow a plus Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Proficient in recordkeeping and reporting (Microsoft Office preferred) Physically fit for field tasks (lifting, pushing, pulling, traversing lease roads, working in hot / cold weather) Ability to work route-based assignments independently with ownership of tasks Must be detail-oriented, safety-focused, and driven to succeed both as part of a team and as a lone worker Valid driver’s license required with a clean MVR (no DUIs or reckless driving) Additional Details Tools / Equipment : Truck, tools, and equipment will be provided by the company PPE : Candidate must supply personal PPE Field Time : Majority of work performed outdoors; exposure to changing weather and conditions On-Call / OT : Overtime and call-outs may be required to support operations Powered by JazzHR
