Job Summary :
To ensure proper picking, issuing, and transporting of material and tools for Crane Aerospace.
Essential Functions :
Responsible for all incoming material to include count, weight, storage, and delivery.
Receive, count, and check material into Stockroom.
Assign, sort, and distribute material into bins, containers or specified storage areas.
Fill requirements for parts promptly and accurately as required.
Responsible for maintaining proper stock record of all materials received and issued and maintaining correct inventory of stock.
Report defective material and shortages and post receipts with withdrawals.
Mark and / or identify parts using various methods to blueprints and specifications.
Responsible for moving work in process between work stations and departments.
Maintain proper inventory levels.
Clean and move parts as necessary.
Keep charts and records as required on completed sequences and processes.
Rotate to different work stations within the department.
Perform required rework, routine maintenance per Appendix A, and appropriate safety checks in the department.
Document all non-conformances through specified data collection procedures.
Inspect work and verify that product meets all appropriate standards at each operational step.
Complete all required paperwork.
Ensure all material is properly cleaned, identified, protected, and stacked prior to movement.
Work with internal and external customers and suppliers and participate in continuous improvement activities as required.
Complete all required documentation including but not limited to operator inspection records, job routers, NCR's, reject tags, move tickets, and stock tickets.
Perform other duties as assigned by department supervisor.
Utilize computer to access various databases.
Minimum Qualifications :
High School Diploma
Requires basic math skills to make necessary calculations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and percentages. Must have basic reading skills.
Requires the ability to read and comprehend coded requirements for military packaging along with various requirements for export documents of aftermarket sales.
Simple and fine grasping of smaller parts such as screws, nuts and bolts.
Firm grasping and manipulation of heavy parts such as castings, barstock and packaging materials.
Basic use of computer terminals and laser machine; Must be able to work assorted hand tools.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, detail sheets, and manufacturing outlines.
Eligibility Requirement : This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Working Conditions :
Requires prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and stretching.
Requires occasional lifting parts up to 50 pounds.
Requires frequent lifting and handling parts weighing up to 30 pounds.
Manufacturing shop floor environment.
Greasy, oil environment.
Frequent exposure to water and penetrant fluids.
Exposure to high voltage test equipment.
Dark test area with exposure to black light.
