Telemetry RN Job Details

Location : Easton, MD (21601) – Maryland nursing jobs

Contract Type : Travel RN contract

Unit : Telemetry

Start Date : December 1, 2025

End Date : March 2, 2026

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19 : 00 – 07 : 30)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend required

Floating : Required within telemetry specialty, lower acuity units, and sister location (Chestertown) as needed

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1790 - $1920 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience

Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license

BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)

NIHSS and CPI certifications

Epic charting system experience preferred

Travel nursing experience required

Comfortable with patient ratios of 1 : 5-6

Two professional references from recent employers (one supervisor / manager and one charge RN acceptable)

Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Local candidates under 50 miles not eligible

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a telemetry unit

Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient status

Administer medications and manage cardiac drips (no titration)

Perform and manage central line, PICC line, and feeding tube care

Interpret arterial blood gases and cardiac dysrhythmias

Deliver wound care, tracheostomy management, and post-surgical support

Float to lower acuity units and sister facility (Chestertown) as needed

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and radiology

Maintain accurate documentation using Epic (preferred)

Participate in 24-hour orientation and ongoing training
