The Children’s Guild School of Brooklyn is seeking a creative, experienced Music Teacher to join our team of seasoned educators. The Music Teacher will contribute to the emotional development of students by creating an enjoyable learning environment to inspire students’ minds and help them grow in appreciation of music. The successful instructor should be skilled in playing musical instruments, planning concerts for student participation, and creating after school clubs.

Job Location : The Childrens Guild Brooklyn Campus - Baltimore, MD | Position Type : Full Time | Education Level : 4 Year Degree | Salary Range : $52,750.00 - $70,384.00

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum & Instruction : Design and deliver music lessons using developmentally appropriate and modified materials to meet the unique needs of autistic students.
• Adaptations : Implement strategies and techniques from ABA and other best practices to make music accessible, such as breaking down instructions, providing clear expectations, and using visual supports.
• Collaboration : Work closely with parents, general education teachers, therapists, and other staff to create a cohesive support system and ensure students\' goals are met.
• Behavior Management : Manage challenging behaviors in a calm, consistent, and evidence-based manner, promoting self-regulation and student independence.
• Assessment & Documentation : Evaluate student skills and track progress through observation and data collection, documenting progress towards IEP goals.
• IEP Development : Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior management plans for music settings.
