  • Your Role on the Expedition

    The Liability Claims Assistant reports to the Supervisor, Liability Claims. This role involves a mix of administrative support, communication, data management, and financial responsibilities in the context of insurance claims processing. Attention to detail and adherence to regulatory requirements are likely crucial aspects of this position.

    Chart Your Course :

  • Review FNOL's (First Notice of Loss) and correct and or add new contacts.
  • Send initial contact letters and communicate with all parties involved in the claim, including policyholders, claimants, and any other relevant parties to establish the claim process.
  • Open initial loss reserves for new claims including indemnity and expense of approved amount.
  • Update actions codes in Tips for new losses, demands, and lawsuits. Fill out or update ISO and CMS information as part of regulatory compliance and efficient claim handling.
  • Handle and process various expenses related to the claims, such as fees for services provided during the claims process when or if required.
  • Take calls from hosts or guests during the escalation process acting as a point of contact for policyholders involved in claims. Relay important messages to adjusters and follow up on return calls as needed.
  • Regularly check incoming mail and emails for legal demands, customer complaints, or lawsuits related to claims.
  • Update and maintain the Spreadsheet for Demands / Complaints / Lawsuits to track and alert adjusters and supervisors about any legal actions, complaints, or demands made against the insurance company.

    Required Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to speak clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations.
  • Listen and respond well to questions.
  • Skills in word, excel and teams.
  • Prior work history with a track record of success.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • 2+ years of experience preferred.
  • Experience providing customer service in a call center environment preferred.
  • Position Coordinates :

    This is a hybrid role based out of our Pembroke Pines, FL office. As a hybrid role, you will be working onsite 2-3 days a week and working from home 2-3 days a week.

    Time for Take-off :

    While there is some flexibility in the hours, this position will be Monday-Friday during regular business hours (approximately 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm). Occasional overtime may be required according to business need.
