Reports to : Tool Process Engineer / Supervisor / and or Manager

Overview : Under the direction of the Tool Process Engineer / Supervisor or Manager, functions in the production environment with the responsibilities inclusive of but not limited to : die changes, material changes, crane operations, program changes, die adjustments, record keeping and preventative maintenance procedures in a timely quality manner while maintaining a safe working environment

Responsibilities :

• Operates and maintains robots, forklifts, hoists, and cranes to perform material movement
• Removal of die to include disconnection of services prior to the placement of a new die
• Set and secure die to platens for production
• Reconnect water and electrical fittings
• Bring die up to required heat
• Disconnect crane from die
• Confers with the production process engineer and production control to establish die change schedules and follows up to assure completion of those schedules
• Must be flexible in shift assignments and ability to work overtime as required
• Suggests and supports affective scrap and cost reduction programs
• Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures.
• Compliant with all OSHA and safe work practices when there are die changes
• Authorities for an employee are granted by means of work instructions, policies and procedures and / or direction provided by management to meet the requirements of the customer

Work Environment : This job operates in a manufacturing environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment. The temperature in the work environment can be hot. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud, but are compliant with OSHA standards.

Physical Demands : This job requires standing for long periods of time , reaching, talking, handling objects with hands, walking stooping / kneeling / crouching / crawling, and lifting up to 40 lbs : Vision requirements : Ability to see information in print or electronically.
