Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Emergency Department, you will provide patient-centered care through the nursing process, ensuring high-quality service and effective collaboration with healthcare professionals. Our team is dedicated to creating a supportive environment for patients and their families.
Essential Functions
Deliver exceptional, patient-centered care in line with organizational policies and the nursing process.Conduct in-depth patient assessments, document findings accurately, and communicate any changes in condition.Administer medications and monitor for side effects following established standards.Support physicians during procedures as per your competencies.Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans.Respond to medical emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions as needed.Advocate for patients' rights and needs, ensuring their involvement in care planning.Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.Implement infection control protocols to safeguard patient safety.Monitor and operate medical equipment, ensuring it supports patient care.Participate in audits and compliance checks to uphold best practices.Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain clinical competency.Contribute to performance improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.Emergency Services RN :Rapidly assess and triage patients, prioritizing care based on severity.
Perform emergency procedures like intubation, wound care, and suturing.Implement stabilization interventions, including medication administration and IV line insertion.Other duties as assigned, adhering to all policies and standards.Qualifications
0-2 years of relevant nursing experience or clinical rotations in an acute care setting.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong understanding of clinical nursing practices and the nursing process.Ability to communicate effectively and lead thorough patient assessments.Proficient in medication administration and patient monitoring.Excellent interpersonal skills for interdisciplinary collaboration.Attention to detail in documenting patient care.Understanding of safety standards and quality improvement initiatives.Licenses and Certifications
RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure required.BCLS - Basic Life Support certification required.ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are preferred.Refer to facility guidelines for additional requirements.
