Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Part time Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you are responsible for preparing and cooking food to order, ensuring high quality and consistency in all dishes.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare ingredients for cooking by chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables, meats, and other items as needed
- Cook and assemble food according to menu specifications, ensuring dishes are prepared to order and served at the correct temperature.
- Operate cooking equipment, including grills, ovens, fryers, stoves, and other kitchen tools.
- Ensure that all food items meet the restaurant’s standards for taste, presentation, and portion size.
- Work quickly and efficiently under pressure during busy service periods to meet customer demand.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food items.
- Work closely with other kitchen staff, including other line cooks, prep cooks, dishwashers, and servers, to ensure smooth operations.
- Help with inventory control, including receiving and stocking ingredients, and ensuring that supplies are properly stored.
Skills :
2+ years of restaurant experience in a high-volume, excellence-driven environmentMust have previous experience working fast-paced sauté, pantry, or grill stationsExcellent knife skillsExcellent work ethic and dedication to the hospitality industryMust be driven to meet or exceed standards of operational excellenceLikes to work in a team and professional work ethicFood Safety KnowledgeHigh level of stamina to work on feet for extended periodsKnowledge in Korean cuisine is a bonus! (but not required)
