About River Cities Interventional Pain Specialists (RCIPS)

Based in Shreveport, our board-certified physicians and skilled care teams use minimally invasive, advanced interventional techniques — from nerve blocks and spinal injections to implantable devices — to provide life-changing care for patients with chronic pain. Now, we’re seeking a Clinic RN to join our team — someone who shares our commitment to clinical excellence and wants to help restore hope and function in every patient encounter.

The Opportunity

As a Clinic RN at RCIPS, you’ll play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality care across our surgical and recovery environments. From admission through discharge, you’ll coordinate, plan, and implement care that aligns with each patient’s unique needs. This is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a high-performing, multidisciplinary team while maintaining the highest standards of safety and patient outcomes.

What You’ll Do :

Leadership & Clinical Accountability

  • Lead nursing care through strong clinical judgment and adherence to established protocols
  • Accept accountability for patient care and supervise nonprofessional personnel
  • Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care

Compliance & Quality

  • Document patient histories, conditions, and care plans accurately and thoroughly
  • Identify and communicate abnormal diagnostic data and pursue appropriate action
  • Ensure compliance with facility protocols and uphold the mission of RCIPS
  • Patient-Centered Operations

  • Perform patient assessments and vital sign monitoring with precision
  • Develop and communicate effective care plans for incoming and outgoing staff
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to meet care goals
  • Continuous Growth & Support

  • Participate in ongoing professional development through reading, conferences, and in-service training
  • Stay up to date on current best practices in patient care and recovery

  • Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Nursing required
  • Active RN license in good standing required
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including OR or PACU experience required
  • Clinic background in orthopedics, pain, or neurosurgery required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • CPAN (Certified Post-Anesthesia Nurse) certification preferred
  • Able to lift / move up to 25 lbs and push up to 300 lbs
  • Capable of extended periods of standing, walking, or sitting
  • Vision, hearing, and physical dexterity to perform essential RN functions
