Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift role requiring comfort with pediatric and adult populations and a MO or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital with 233 staffed beds

Care for both pediatric and adult patients

Staff-to-patient ratio is 1 : 4

Night shift schedule (3x12s, 19 : 00-07 : 30)

Every third weekend required

No floating required outside scope of assignment

No on-call responsibilities

Glucostabilizer experience needed

Utilizes Epic EMR; Epic experience is required

Navy scrubs required

Responsibilities include providing emergency care and stabilization for pediatric and adult patients

Completion of modules prior to start is required

Facial hair must allow for fit testing or candidate will be expected to shave

No medical marijuana cards accepted

Return travelers must wait 1 year after previous permanent employment to be eligible

First-time travelers are accepted

Maximum of 7 days requested time off allowed per 13-week contract, and no time off permitted in the first week

Travelers may remain for 18 months, requiring a 3-month break before returning

Free parking available

Requirements

Active MO or compact RN license required (pending license accepted)

Current certifications required : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS

Minimum 1 year of recent ED RN experience

Must be comfortable caring for both pediatric and adult patients

Epic charting experience required

Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted

No previous permanent employment within the health system in the past year
