Helicopter Mechanic

GoArmy.com is seeking a skilled Helicopter Mechanic to join the United States Army's elite Aerospace & Defense team. This role is critical in maintaining the operational effectiveness of our helicopter fleet, ensuring the safety and readiness of machines that are essential for various Army operations. As a Helicopter Mechanic, you will work on some of the most advanced helicopters in the world, and play a key role in executing missions effectively and safely. Perform regular maintenance and repairs on helicopters, following strict military standards and schedules. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic problems, using both traditional tools and advanced diagnostic software. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, adhering to detailed Army documentation requirements. Collaborate with a team of other military personnel and mechanics to ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Participate in training and readiness exercises, and potentially support recovery operations during field missions. Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills. Proficiency in using mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Excellent physical condition, capable of lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces. Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and reporting.
