Sr Labor & Employment Attorney

Demos Consultants is searching for a Labor & Employment Attorney for a boutique lifestyle law firm's Garden City office. This is fully in office and has a salary ranging from $120,000-$180,000.

This person must have at least 5 years of defense-side employment litigation.

Responsibilities :

  • Handle a diverse caseload, including labor and employment matters, with limited court appearances.
  • Conduct legal research, manage discovery, and draft motions and other legal documents.
  • Meet with clients to provide strategic advice and updates on case progress.
  • Participate in monthly labor and employment practice meetings and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Maintain a strong focus on litigation, including federal and class actions, while leveraging support from other attorneys as needed.

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of experience in labor and employment
  • Must be an Attorney barred in NYS
  • Strong understanding of federal and state court procedures.
  • Excellent research and writing skills; proficiency with Westlaw is mandatory.
  • Experience in discovery, motion practice, and case strategy.
  • Ability to manage a personal caseload and work effectively in a team setting.
