The Manufacturing Specialist - Single-Use Systems serves mainly as the advising person to all decisions related to process improvements for stainless steel bioreactors and the implementation of SUS. As a project manager of SUS implementations, the Manufacturing Specialist (Single Use Technology) may also serve as the Decider. Accountable for ongoing technical support for stainless steel bioreactors (SUB) and the implementation and ongoing technical support for single use systems (SUS).

Responsibilities

  • Training of shopfloor teams and technical knowledge transfer from Subject Matter Experts (SME).
  • Technical support for shopfloor operations including off hours and on call support.
  • Building work instructions and troubleshooting guides.
  • Executing conceptual design studies.
  • Updating equipment designs and maintaining drawings and documentation.
  • Establishing user requirements and functional specifications.
  • Functional testing to ensure compatibility, integration and connectivity of SUS components and support equipment.
  • Scoping instrumentation (including single-use instruments).
  • Conducting commissioning and qualification.
  • Designing and executing feasibility studies.
  • Providing expert technical support for SUS capital projects.
  • Considering and establishing sustainability requirements including disposal and / or recycling of SUS parts.
  • Serving as SME for investigations, audits and inspections.

Additional Accountabilities

  • In depth knowledge of SUS technology and Stainless-Steel Bioreactors.
  • Financial acumen and cost management.
  • Performs data analysis for process optimization.
  • Defining and monitoring KPIs to drive site adoption of SUS.
  • Performing risk assessments and mitigations applicable to SUS processes including contamination prevention.
  • Ability to adopt and apply emerging technologies.
  • About You

  • Bachelor's Degree is required. Bachelor's in Engineering and Life science are preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience with single-use bioreactor.
