JOB SUMMARY :

Supervises the Poker Room, tracks players when necessary, and provides protection for games while providing friendly, helpful service to every guest.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Five years previous Poker dealing experience is required.
  • Must possess excellent customer relations and communication skills.
  • Must have knowledge of basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and perform basic math without use of calculator.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Acknowledges, greets, and converses in English with customers who are waiting to be seated at an active Poker game.
  • Seats customers on available Poker table and lets the Dealer know that there is a new player.
  • Makes seat changes and writes them down so there is no error.
  • Transfers monies from Cashier to customers.
  • Watches games at critical hours.
  • Puts games together as soon as there are enough seats to go around.
  • Ensures that games are not left weak or unattended.
  • Handles any customer concerns when necessary.
  • Must be able to accurately maintain brush bank and complete mathematical computations when buying and selling chips and / or money with the Cashier.
  • Answers telephone and maintains Poker Bank.
  • Fills out appropriate paperwork.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • Spends the majority of time interviewing, training, and selecting employees.
  • Conducts Performance Reviews.
  • Makes or recommends wage increases.
  • Makes or recommends promotions.
  • Provides for safety and security.
  • Handles employees' complaints or grievances.
  • Recommends disciplinary action or disciplines employees.
  • Plans work.
  • Supervises and monitors work.
  • Monitors legal compliance with federal, state, and gaming laws.

    • DEMANDS TO COMPLETE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

    PHYSICAL & MENTAL :

  • Must be able to maneuver in between Poker tables.
  • Must be able to reach, pull, bend, crouch, and kneel around Poker tables and Poker bank.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

    • WORK ENVIRONMENT :

  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
  • Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.
