  • Location : Milton, FL 32570 (Santa Rosa County)\n
  • Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – PACU RN\n
  • Unit : Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)\n
  • Duration : 12-week contract\n
  • Shifts : Monday–Friday, typically 10 : 00am–6 : 00pm (variable shift times based on surgical volume)\n
  • Shift Duration : 8 Hour Days\n
  • Hours per Week : 40\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary : $1400–$1500\n
  • Call Rotation : One day of call and one late shift per week; weekend call rotation every 4th weekend (Saturday 7am–Monday 7am)\n
  • Call Response Time : 30 minutes, dressed and ready to receive patients\n

    • \n\nPACU RN Qualifications\n \n

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a critical care / Main OR PACU setting (outpatient PACU experience not sufficient)\n
  • Active Registered Nurse license in Florida or multistate compact RN license\n
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications required\n
  • ASPAN (American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses) certification preferred\n

    • \n\nPACU Nurse Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver comprehensive post-anesthesia care to surgical patients in accordance with Florida Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and hospital policies\n
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to ensure safe and effective patient recovery\n
  • Demonstrate advanced critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in patient care planning and delivery\n
  • Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing nursing education\n
  • Delegate patient care tasks based on staff education and experience\n
  • Supervise and provide direction to assigned healthcare personnel delivering patient care\n
