Job Description

Duties and responsibilities that a refrigeration mechanic is expected to perform include the following :

Install refrigeration systems and components
Conduct routine inspections
Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions
Repair or replace defective parts
Perform preventative maintenance
Test system operations
Recharge refrigerant systems
Interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
Follow safety protocols
Communicate with customers
Maintain accurate records
Ensure compliance with codes and regulations
Inspect and test system components
Install and configure electronic control systems
Upgrade existing systems
Manage inventory of parts and supplies
Provide training and guidance
Perform emergency repairs
Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers
Stay updated on new technologies
Offer energy-saving recommendations
Install and maintain industrial refrigeration systems
Conduct performance tests
Perform retrofitting on older systems
Coordinate with other tradespeople.

Refrigeration Mechanic Skills :
