Supply / Procurement Specialist
We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Supply / Procurement Specialist to support Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for the Abrams family of vehicles. In this role, you will manage end-to-end logistics, inventory control, order fulfillment, and lift coordination across fielding operations. You'll also play a critical part in transportation coordination, cross-site liaison, and sustaining U.S. and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) requirements.
Responsibilities :
- Execute ILS functions across operational life cycle : planning, fielding support, sustainment, de-processing, and training coordination.
- Manage cradle-to-grave logistics for Abrams platforms : dispatch, route, ship parts / components, repair kits, and support documentation.
- Order, receive, store, stock, and issue Class II, IV, VII, and IX parts.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports; maintain readiness across supply sites.
- Use automated systems (GCSS-Army, AESIP, FedMall, and others) for inventory management, shipping, and tracking.
- Handle Total Package Fielding MILSTRIP documentation for accountability and audits.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks according to safety protocols.
- Coordinate with government and contractor teams across CONUS / OCONUS fielding or sustainment operations.
Required Qualifications :
Must meet Supply Technician (01410) standards, including : Essential Knowledge & Skills : supply operations : familiarity with supply systems, policies, repair parts nomenclature, and ILS methodology. Organizational needs assessment and proactive support planning. Problem-solving : ability to diagnose supply issues and implement solutions. Data entry and AIS operation (e.g., GCSS-Army, AESIP). Microsoft Office proficiency : Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Strong oral and written communication skills. Capability to operate material handling equipment. Attention to detail in documentation and inventory accuracy.Relevant Experience : At least 6 months of experience demonstrating knowledge of supply regulations, policies, and procedures. Experience working with automated supply databases, maintaining records, and tracking budgets.Education : High School Diploma or GED; relevant experience may substitute.Physical Requirements : Medium work : lift / move up to 50 lb occasionally; 30 lb frequently; 10 lb constantly. Physical stamina : stooping, climbing, standing, sitting as required.Security : U.S. Citizenship and Secret clearance are mandatory due to classified systems and procedures.Desired Qualifications :
Experience in military vehicle ILS, especially Abrams systems.Familiarity with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) logistics and fielding.DoD sustainment or logistics support at TACOM or similar.Position Contingent Upon Award : This role will be officially filled once the Army awards the Abrams ILS fielding or sustainment contract.
