Grand Forks County Highway Department is seeking qualified candidates for two (2) Equipment Operator II positions . One position is based in Grand Forks , and the other is in Niagara , North Dakota.
These positions offer an excellent opportunity to join our team in maintaining and improving the county’s road infrastructure. Duties include operating and maintaining heavy equipment used in road construction and maintenance, snow removal, and related activities.

Targeted Hire Date : On or around November 17, 2025
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS : High School diploma or GED required. Vocational training preferred. 1-2 years as a large equipment operator or any combination of education or experience. Must maintain a valid commercial driver's license.
STATUS AND HOURS : Full-time, benefit eligible. Based on a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday. Due to the nature of this position, there might be a variation to work hours and days to support the department and County needs. This position is not eligible for remote work opportunities.
