Machine Shop Technician III- Milling

This is a first shift role at our location in Hatfield, PA.  The hours are 6 : 30 AM – 3 : 00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities :

• Ability to read blueprints, create basic programs, select appropriate tooling and monitor the milling process and adjust machine settings as necessary.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving : Diagnosing and resolving complex operational issues and makes proactive, real-time adjustments to compensate for variation and prevent defects.”
• Leadership and training : Provides guidance and training to junior operators, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and contributing to a positive work environment.
• Operates multiple machines during a normal workday.
• Maintenance and preventative measures : Ensures that the shop equipment and instruments are functioning properly and in calibration prior to performing any work.
• Informs the supervisor whenever any equipment is found to be out of calibration or in need of repair.
• Follows all applicable and required specifications and procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance to machining requirements.
• Maintains traceability of materials and parts during operations.
• Monitors scheduled completion dates and times to ensure that established schedules are met.  The supervisor must be notified sufficiently in advance whenever the schedule for a job might not be met.
• Inputs required data into computer software accurately and on a timely basis.
• Assists with maintaining shop equipment.  This includes cleaning the equipment, performing preventive maintenance as scheduled, and performing repair maintenance as required.

Maintains assigned work area(s) in a clean, organized, and safe condition at all times.

Qualifications :

This position requires use of information or access to processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export laws including but not limited to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
