This position is ideal for a forward-thinking professional with a strong background in building automation and smart building technology, who is motivated to drive innovation and sustainable facility design.
Base pay range
$100,000.00 / yr - $150,000.00 / yr
Responsibilities
Act as lead BMS Consultant, overseeing controls design and integration activities across multiple markets including aviation, healthcare, critical facilities, pharmaceutical, and finance.Manage and mentor project teams, ensuring quality design deliverables such as drawings, specifications, and integrated system documents.Support clients with vendor evaluation, solution selection, and system procurement.Collaborate with internal mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) teams to deliver seamless project outcomes.Attend and lead project meetings, maintaining strong communication with clients, contractors, and internal leaders.Manage quality control, resource allocation, and financial oversight of assigned projects.Develop and implement updated BMS processes and standards.Support business development and client relationship growth initiatives.Provide leadership in hiring, training, and performance management of staff.Some travel within the U.S. will be required to support project sites and collaborate with teams.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.Minimum of 7 years' experience in the HVAC controls sector, with consulting, design, or engineering experience.Strong knowledge of HVAC and electrical instrumentation design, building control sequences, and IT infrastructure.Familiarity with smart building integration, low-voltage systems, IoT, lighting control, and fire alarm systems.Experience with analytical software platforms for performance monitoring and energy efficiency.Ability to manage complex projects, lead teams, and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.Registered Professional Engineer (PE) is desirable but not essential.Active involvement in professional organizations such as ASHRAE or CABA is a plus.What's on Offer
