Security Officer - Unarmed Telecom Campus Patrol

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Telecom Campus Patrol in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols at a dynamic tech and media location. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will contribute to a secure environment for clients, visitors, and staff. You will use your communication skills and professionalism to address concerns and respond to incidents as they arise, all while embracing our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first. Pay Rate : $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Mon 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM Tue 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM Fri 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM Sat 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM Sun 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or access.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents.
  • Assist visitors and employees with directions and information as needed.
  • Complete required reports and logs accurately and in a timely manner.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
