Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with ARRT (MR), BLS certification, and a current WA license for a 13-week acute care assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in an acute care radiology department working exclusively in MRI
  • Utilizes Toshiba Vantage 1.5T MRI scanner for imaging studies
  • Performs MRA and MRI studies of the brain, spine, pelvic, knees, hips, shoulders, and extremities
  • No cardiac imaging and no pacemakers managed
  • Uses EPIC EMR and McKesson PACS for documentation and imaging workflow
  • Monday through Friday shifts from 11 : 30am to 8pm
  • No weekend shifts with on-call rotation for holiday coverage only
  • Average of 5 scans per day
  • No floating to other modalities or departments
  • Must be a self-starter able to manage workload and tasks independently with strong attention to detail
  • Department provides orientation upon arrival
  • Scrubs of any style are acceptable as long as they are clean and presentable
  • Rad Badge is provided by agency
  • Critical access hospital environment with manageable patient volume
  • Radiologist on-site Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm
  • Holiday coverage is rotated with two other technologists
  • IV skills are necessary as part of the imaging process

    • Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience required
  • Active WA state license required; license required if applicable
  • Active ARRT (MR) certification required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Experience working independently is essential
  • Proficiency starting IVs is required
  • References must include one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years, each including employment dates and rehire eligibility
  • Copy of driver’s license required for consideration
