Job Title : Service Technician - Class III -IV

Summary : Install, service, and repair heating, ventilating, air conditioning systems, and related environmental-control systems. Utilize knowledge of heating and refrigeration theory, and pipefitting.

Location : This role is based out of the Charleston, SC office and serves the Charleston Metro area.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities : Posting covers Class 3, and 4 Class Service Technician. Duties are based on the candidate's qualifications below.

Class 3 Service Technician

• Understanding of 5 through 100-ton unitary DX equipment, chilled water air handlers, computer room units (CRAC), Pneumatic and DDC controls.
• Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills on 100 ton and less unitary DX equipment.
• Capable of all repairs needed on rooftop package equipment.
• Perform basic troubleshooting on air-cooled chillers.
• Troubleshoot and repair water cooled package equipment.
• Diagnose problems using electrical schematics.
• Diagnosing refrigerant system issues.
• Basic understanding variable frequency drives.
• Diagnose issues with variable air volume equipment (VAV's / PIU's)

Class 4 Service Technician

Qualifications

Required Experience, Certifications, and Education

Physical Requirements

Must be able to climb ladders, lift and carry 50 or more pounds, distinguish colors for electrical work and tolerate confined spaces. Work will involve heights and seasonal temperature extremes. Proper use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is required while performing tasks.
