Dental Assistant (DA or RDA)

Our office is seeking an RDA or DA to join our private family practice. This is only a part time position Mondays and Wednesdays 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm and Thursday 8 : 00am-12 : 00pm. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in the dental field. The dental assistant should be well-organized with great attention to detail and having a positive attitude is a MUST. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible for the patient and Dr. Candidate must have a valid RDA license or DA certification, CPR certification, and X-ray certificate. A minimum of 2 years recent experience and have verifiable references. Knowledge of Dentrix and Dexis is a plus. Bilingual - Spanish preferable.

Responsibilities are as follows but not limited to :

• Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
• Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
• Maintain accurate electronic patient records
• Treatment planner
