Position Title : Fitness Specialist (As-Needed)

Overview

Aquila is seeking a Fitness Specialist (as needed) to assist members in safe and effective exercise and perform a wide range of technical exercise and administrative duties in health / fitness centers. This part-time, as-needed role provides coverage at our corporate fitness centers located in the Doral / Miami Airport area. We want all of our people to be healthy, happy and grow with us. The pay rate for this position is $18 / hour.

Full-Time / Part-Time : On-Call

Responsibilities

• Supervise exercise areas
• Educate members concerning safe exercise techniques
• Perform exercise assessments and prescribe exercise upon American College of Sports Medicine guidelines
• Conduct safe and effective assessments including cardiovascular, strength, flexibility and body composition analysis; evaluate and interpret data and identify high risk participants and special populations
• Aid members - spotting and equipment usage
• Explain all equipment
• Ensure the maintenance, cleanliness and safety of all equipment
• Adhere to departmental and club policies and procedures
• Adhere to client policies and procedures
• Attend staff meetings
• Assist in wellness and fitness promotions and external events
• Perform daily administrative duties
