Overview

Store Assistant Manager (F / T) at Steve Madden — supports the Store Manager in store operations and leads a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience aligned with brand values.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to maximize profitability by ensuring customer engagement, merchandising, operations, and community connection are consistent and compliant with company standards.
• Create amazing customer experiences through a strong client focus and collaboration; motivate the team to deliver memorable experiences.
• Partner with the Store Manager to implement visual merchandising directives to maintain the companys brand strategies.
• Ensure appropriate replenishment of merchandise on the selling floor.
• Partner with the Store Manager to ensure compliance with loss prevention and safety policies, standards, practices, and company directives.
• Assist in various store operations, including training, operations, sales, visual merchandising, inventory management, store administration, cleaning duties when necessary, and customer service.
• Foster an environment of development and accountability.
• Process information or merchandise through the computer system and POS register system.
• Assist Store Manager in the selection and hiring of qualified candidates.
• Be flexible and occasionally perform work outside your specific role.
