ER RN Travel Job Details Location : New Haven, Connecticut 06511 Healthcare Setting : Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 14 / 2025 – End : 2 / 13 / 2026) Nursing Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19 : 00 – 07 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 Guaranteed Hours : Yes Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Charting System : Epic Patient Ratios : Average 1 : 6 Orientation : 16 hours Flu Vaccine : Required (No exemptions) COVID-19 Vaccine : Not required Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1990 - $2130 ER Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 1.5 years of recent emergency room nursing experience in an acute care hospital (2 years preferred) Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Connecticut RN license must be applied for prior to submission (pending license accepted) Required certifications : TNCC (or TNS), ACLS, BLS Proficiency with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs One professional reference required Travel nurses must reside more than 75 miles from the facility Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) ER RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a Level I Trauma Center Manage patient assignments with an average nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 6 Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services Utilize Epic EHR for accurate and timely clinical documentation Perform specialized emergency room procedures : continuous IV sedation, dysrhythmia management, ventilated patient care, and ICP monitoring Participate in stroke and chest pain center protocols Float to other campuses as needed (no trauma / rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health units for travelers) Maintain compliance with hospital policies and participate in required orientation and annual training modules Discover the best of New Haven while making a difference in emergency healthcare.
