Job Summary

The MIS Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA1) will support the Department of Management and MIS in a variety of functions, including MIS lab maintenance, student tutoring in CISM 2201 and CISM 3330, laptop set-up in classrooms for MIS-related courses, and research assistance. This position provides an opportunity for graduate students to develop technical and research while contributing to daily operations of the department.

Teaching Support (75%) :

• Support a variety of activities in the MIS Lab and maintain MIS Lab equipment.
• Keep all laptops in MIS charged in the two laptop charging cabinets.
• Support faculty by setting up the laptops in classrooms ¿ this is especially needed in CISM 2201 where class sizes can reach 80 students.
• Provide tutoring assistance to students ¿ primarily in CISM 2201.
• Assist in providing live-stream support for classes offered simultaneously in Carrollton and Newnan.
• Grade quizzes, assignments, and exams under faculty guidance.
• Assist in proctoring exams.
• Learn and assist with the CourseDen platform.
