Responsibilities Work in a large Emergency Department with 71 beds including critical care, acute, Fast Track, behavioral health, pediatrics, and observation areas Patient ratios are 1 : 2 or 1 : 3 in critical care, 1 : 7 in Fast Track, and 1 : 4 or 1 : 5 in acute and Dpod areas Shifts are 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM with 36 hours per week Required to work every other weekend and cover 2 or 3 major holidays One 24-hour call shift is required every four weeks Possible floating to ED behavioral health, Peds ED, and ED observation if needed Charting is completed using Cerner FirstNet with medication scanning; equipment includes Accudose, Phillips monitors, ISTATS, Accucheck, and chest tube drains Responsibilities include caring for adult ED patients, triage, treating trauma and critical cases, code response, and holding inpatient admissions when necessary Comprehensive orientation includes a one-week preceptor-based program and required computer and competency modules Must adhere to ED policies and protocols and be able to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic environment Required to wear branded navy blue Cherokee scrubs Requirements Active GA or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, and PALS; TNCC is preferred Strong skills in triage with ESI, hemodynamic monitoring, airway management, dysrhythmia recognition, CPR, patient assessment, medication administration, IV and blood draws, EKG, blood administration, and procedural sedation Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-614247.
