Job Description

SNI Companies has partnered with a leading healthcare organization seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Patient Account Specialist to join their call center team on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to critical accounting functions while gaining exposure to various specialized areas within the organization.

Contract Details :

  • Contract duration : Up to 3 months
  • Schedule : Onsite in Tyler, TX
  • Pay : $18 / hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve accounts placed in the collections department, ensuring compliance with all state, federal, and client regulations.
  • Perform follow-up on outstanding claims for both hospital and professional services, including government and commercial payers.
  • Review and resolve claim denials, initiate appeals, and coordinate with coding and clinical teams when additional documentation or medical necessity reviews are required.
  • Identify trends in claim denials or payment delays and provide recommendations to management for process improvement.
  • Utilize payer portals, internal systems, and direct communication with insurance companies to secure timely payment on claims.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all account activity and communication efforts.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to patients, payers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Meet departmental quality and productivity benchmarks while adapting to procedural or system changes as needed.
  • Qualifications

  • Experience : Minimum 3 years in a healthcare call center, medical billing / collections, or insurance claims role. Previous work in a client service or marketing environment within healthcare or a collection agency is also acceptable.
  • Knowledge : Familiarity with hospital A / R processes and medical billing practices is essential.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and general PC navigation in a Windows environment.
