Summary : Position Summary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Healthcare Data Quality Analyst to ensure the integrity and usability of critical public health data. This role is pivotal in validating, standardizing, and transforming healthcare provider submissions into reliable, actionable insights. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in T-SQL and have experience managing large datasets within a healthcare context, preferably with Immunization Information Systems (IIS). This position requires a local candidate.
Key Responsibilities :
Data Quality & Integrity Management :
- Perform comprehensive data quality assessments on immunization records, including de-duplication, validation against business rules, and standardization.
- Investigate data anomalies, troubleshoot submission issues, and recommend process improvements to enhance data integrity.
- Document data quality rules, methodologies, and best practices for both internal and external stakeholders.
Technical Execution & Analysis :
Write, optimize, and execute complex T-SQL queries to analyze, clean, and transform large healthcare datasets.Develop and maintain automated validation processes to ensure ongoing data quality.Support the implementation of HL7 and IIS data exchange standards by validating message integrity and field mapping.Reporting, Visualization & Collaboration :
Develop and maintain data quality dashboards, reports, and performance metrics to track provider compliance and overall system accuracy.Prepare clear and concise reports for leadership that effectively communicate data trends, patterns, and predictions.Collaborate directly with healthcare providers, IIS staff, and public health partners to identify, resolve, and prevent data submission errors.Qualifications & Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)Strong proficiency in T-SQL, including query writing, stored procedures, optimization, and troubleshootingExperience working with large relational databases (SQL Server preferred)Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose data issues and recommend effective corrective actionsExcellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholdersFamiliarity with immunization registries (IIS), HL7 messaging, or other healthcare data standardsSyra Health is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at all levels.
