Description :
Ambulatory surgical oncology center.
Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, 7a-5 : 30p. There will be clinical and nonclinical days.
Typically there will be no direct surgical patient care - but may be involved in minor procedural assists (Helping MD assist wound vac, post surgical drainage, complications, etc).
Would not be involved directly in pre op / PACU pre surgical clinical care at bedside. Pre-op / Post op care consists of Pre surgical checklists, monitoring inbox for incoming messages, prioritizing, assisting in clinic providers, obtaining cardiac / pre surgical clearance, placing standing orders, communicating with providers, Following up after surgery, monitoring complications, addressing concerns, recognizing emergencies via phone / messaging system.
Little hands on / direct care but must have solid nursing knowledge. Surgical, medical, oncological background helpful. Prior telephonic / triage experience helpful.
Prior Surgical clearance helpful. No locals within 50 mi please. Please submit with time off requests.
Must be separated from BILH for 6+ months to be considered (perm, per diem, contract).
